Larnaca is perhaps the most beautiful city in Cyprus. Its palm tree-lined promenade, stunning harbour and beautiful beaches make it a popular destination for tourists visiting the island. In the north-west quarters of Larnaca is the ancient city of Kition, with its temples that date back to the 13th Century BC. The impressive Hala Sultan Tekesi Mosque is another of the town's main attractions.
